STERISAFE's journey began as an innovative project at INFUSER in 2014. A small company with a strong ambition to bring life changing and innovative products on the market. With their strong background in atmospheric chemistry and engineering and close ties to Copenhagen University a team of scientists and business developers started a project to develop a sustainable, safe and highly effective disinfection solution for rooms. A project that came to be known as STERISAFE.
The STERISAFE project pioneered a unique and patented technology, named after its properties to disinfect: The Full Depth Disinfection Cycle (FDDC). Applying the oxidative features of the atmospheric gas ozone, STERISAFE PRO, became the first robot to use the FDDC technology. The initial success of the STERISAFE PRO resulted in a formal company spin-off of STERISAFE ApS in 2019. After only two years on the market, with much success, STERISAFE is now listed on the stock exchange and aim to become the global leader in automated and sustainable disinfection solutions using FDDC to upgrade environmental hygiene worldwide.
THE AUDIENCE
Every person should have the right to be safe and minimize the risk of infection when entering facilities. The healthcare industry have originally been STERISAFE’s main audience due to industry’s inherent need for sustainable and efficient disinfection solutions.
Progressively, the STERISAFE brand is founding its way to other industries such as the pharmaceutic industry, food industry or the facility management segment. And new applications are continuously being implemented.

THE DRIVERS
Hygiene protocols cannot rely on manual labor alone. The well documented fact that 20-60% of surface remain contaminated after manual disinfection suggests that problems and accidents are prone to happen. The overall lack of documentation and validation processes, the repeated exposure to harmful chemical based cleaning agents and basic human errors suggests why consolidated solutions and processes are required.
Emerging trends and new technologies are pushing the limits for hygiene requirements in many industries while digitalization and data driven solutions are on high demand. Increased awareness from stakeholders all over drives the need for more accountability and for more efficient and safe disinfection solutions that rely on automation, transparency and validation to provide safer indoor environments.
