ABLE Human Motion is a Barcelona-based company that designs, manufactures, and markets innovative robotic exoskeletons to improve mobility, health, and quality of life for people with disabilities. The company was founded in late 2018 with the goal of making exoskeleton technology more accessible, so that many more patients can benefit from the use of robotics in rehabilitation.
We began marketing the ABLE Exoskeleton in July 2024, and since then, we have earned the trust of more than 50 rehabilitation centers, helping more than 1,000 patients take more than 5 million steps.
1) User-centric: co-creation is crucial to developing meaningful rehabilitation technology. We engage with clinical professionals and people with disabilities as part of our team, integrating their feedback into the design to create products that optimally solve their needs. We love listening to customers towards the continuous improvement of our products and services. We strive for excellence, every detail and every opinion matters.
2) Innovation: research is a fundamental part of our innovation process: to explore disruptive ideas, build first proofs of concept and generate clinical evidence. Our partnerships with the Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering of UPC and renowned neurorehabilitation institutions such as Institut Guttmann and Heidelberg University Hospital make it possible to go beyond what seems possible, benefiting from state-of-the-art equipment and best clinical practices.
3) High-quality: we’re committed to building high-quality, safe and top-performance products that provide benefits for clinical customers and patients, achieving high levels of satisfaction. Our organisation has obtained the ISO-13485 quality system certification, ensuring that our exoskeletons are manufactured under the highest standards applicable to medical devices. We’re proud members of the International Industry Society in Advanced Rehabilitation Technology (IISART).
